February 15 & 16, 2026 – Family Day Weekend in Erin Hill Acres, Erin, Ontario

While not a pet event specifically, Erin Hill Acres always considers dogs family too, so they are welcome at this Family Day event. Come and enjoy wagon rides, wood-fired pizza, boozy hot chocolate, and you and your dog will love the great outdoors. 5837 3 Line, Erin, Ontario. 10 am to 4 pm. Note: admission must be pre-booked.

February *, 2026 – Haldimand Pet Expo, Dunville, Ontario

The second annual Haldimand Pet Expo, sponsored by Ruffins, is on February 22. his is a pet vendor and product-focused event that promises door prizes and a kid’s corner. 11 am to 5 pm. Dunnville Community Lifespan Centre (beside the arena), 275 Ramsey Drive, Dunville, Ontario.

February *, 2026 – Pups for Paws 3.0, Markham, Ontario

Celebrate with the Markham Dog Alliance and help raise funds for the Markham leash-free dog zones and parks at Pups for Paws 3.0: Annual Dog-friendly Greenhouse Event. This dog-friendly event includes a doggy market, beer gardens, food truck vendors, and an indoor dog park experience. 11 am to 4 pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Valleyview Gardens, 8636 Ressor Road, Markham, Ontario.

March 6 & 7, 2026 – Woodstock Pet Expo, Woodstock, Ontario

Run by KB Events Canada, which organizes many themed vendor-driven festivals, the Woodstock Pet Expo promises to be very pet-centric with pet-focused shopping, food trucks, animal shows thanks to Little Ray’s animal shows, celebrity pet appearances, bingo, and giveaways. Dogs welcome. Friday, March 7, 4 to 8 pm and Saturday, March 8, 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is $5. Woodstock Fairgrounds, 875 Nellis Street, Woodstock, Ontario.

March 28, 2026 – 3rd Annual Autism Dog Services Easter Eggs-travaganza, Ancaster, ON

This is the second year for the annual Autism Dog Services Easter Eggs-travaganza. This family-friendly – including the dog – event offers an Easter egg hunt, photo opportunities, and games. Admission is a cash donation to the non-profit organization. 10 am to 1 pm. Ancaster Optimist Youth Hall and Park, 237 Manitou Way, Ancaster, Ontario.

April 3, 2026 – Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Kitchener, Guelph, and London, Windsor, and Hamilton, Ontario

The annual canine Easter Egg Hunt is back again and held on Good Friday in five cities across Ontario (along with Calgary, Alberta). This is an annual fundraising event for National Service Dogs (NSD) – thousands of plastic eggs containing prizes and dog treats are scattered in fields for pups and their people to find. Advanced registration is $25, or $30 at the door. Registration starts at 10 and the hunt begins at 11 am. Locations: Kitchener, Guelph, London, Hamilton, and Windsor.

April 3, 4, & 5, 2026 – Spring Canadian Pet Expo, Mississauga, Ontario

Toronto looks forward to the annual Spring Canadian Pet Expo. This pet-related trade show is held annually Easter Weekend at the International Centre near the Toronto airport. Pets are welcome, and it’s host to Canada’s largest Cat Show, Dog Lovers Days Lure Courses, Aqua Dogs Dock Diving and Canine Stars Stunt Dog performances. May, 2026 (and every weekend until Sept. 1, 2026) – Dog Days of Summer, Clear Creek (Norfolk County), Ontario

Hounds of Erie Winery, a popular Norfolk County stop for dog people, is reviving the Dog Days of Summer breed meet-up events throughout the summer. Each Sunday, the cider and winery producer hosts a different breed (and mix) event among the vines, beginning with a breed-specific meetup May 3, but everyone and every dog is welcome at all meet-ups; however, preregistration (free) is required. 10 am to 6 pm. Hounds of Erie Winery, 377 7th Concession Rd., Clear Creek, Ontario.

May *, 2026 – Petapolooza, Pickering, Ontario

Petaplooza is a festival that brings together pet enthusiasts, local vendors, trainers and rescues. Entertainment by Super Dogs and giveaways. The event is a fundraiser to help build a permanent animal shelter in the area. 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is $5. Esplanade Park, 1 The Esplanade, Pickering, Ontario.

May *, 2026 – Party 4 Paws Fair, Toronto

Hosted by Guardian’s Best Animal Rescue Foundation, the annual Party 4 Paws Fair is on again at the Dog Bowl in Toronto’s Trinity Park. Celebrate pets and rescues, meet adoptable pets, shop local pet vendors and enter raffles. Admission is free. Noon to 6 pm both days. Dogs welcome. Trinity Bellwoods Park, 790 Queen West, Toronto, Ontario.

May to October, 2026 – Picks and Pingle’s Summer Festival, Hampton, Ontario

Although not specifically a pet event, the outdoor Picks and Pingle’s Summer Festival is dog friendly (except for the corn fields and apple orchards)! Pick your own corn, wildflowers, and apples depending on season. Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome for $5 extra. 9 am to 4 pm each day – Tuesday to Sunday. Admission is $7 per person weekdays, $10 weekends and an extra $5 for dogs. Pringle’s Farm Market, 1805 Taunton Rd, Hampton, Ontario.

May 31, 2026 – Toronto Walk for Guide Dogs, Toronto, Ontario

One of two fundraising events this weekend for guide dogs – this is a walk-a-thon style fundraising event for Lions Foundation of Canada Guide Dogs. Registration starts at 5:30 pm and the walk starts at 6:30 pm. High Park, (Bloor Street Entrance), Toronto, Ontario. (Note: Walk For Guide Dogs will be taking place this day across Canada. May 31, 2026 – Oakville Walk for Guide Dogs, Oakville, Ontario

Collect pledges, make a donation, and register – this is a walk-a-thon style fundraising event for Lions Foundation of Canada Guide Dogs. Registration starts at 10 am and the walk starts at 11 am. Canada Guide Dogs Training Centre, 152 Wilson Street, Oakville, Ontario.

June 6 & 7, 2026 – Woofa Roo Pet Fest, Amherstburgh, Ontario

WoofaRoo Pet Fest is a two-day festival for “Pets and Their People.” Live presentations such as Dock Diving, Dog Agility, Lure Coursing, and Dog Races are on the agenda. Expect vendors, charity contests and more. $10 per person admission. 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. The Libro Sports Complex, 3295 Meloche Road, Amherstburg, Ontario.

June 13 & 14, 2026 – Barkham Festival, Markham, Ontario

York Region’s largest dog-focused festival, Barkham Festival is back for its third year. 75 plus vendors including doggie daycare services, raw food companies, and local products. Fun activities for dogs. Leashed dogs welcome. Organized by the Markham Dog Alliance. Location: Markham Museum, 9350 Markham Road, Markham, Ontario. 11 am to 6 pm.

May *, 2026 – Grimsby Paws in the Park, Grimsby, Ontario

Grimsby Paws in the Park promises a pawsome day at the park. This pet festival includes pet vendors, photo booth, live music, pet activities, and food vendors. 10 am to 3 pm. Admission free. Coronation Park, 12 Elm Street, Grimsby, Ontario.

June 6, 2026 – Unleash Pet Fest, Cornwall, Ontario

Unleash Pet Fest is Cornwall’s annual pet festival and promises to be a fun day for the whole family. The fundraising event for five local pet rescues begins with a pet parade ending at the Pet Market with more than 40 local pet supply vendors, an obstacle course, a kissing booth, and an animal show. The event will take place in an empty parking lot at the corner of Pitt and First Street near Cornwall Square, Cornwall, Ontario. 11 am to 5 pm. Free admission. (Note: for $25 you and your costumed dog can participate in the ‘pet parade‘ fundraiser, 11 am to noon. Theme: Superheroes).

June *, 2026 – 4th Annual On the Rocks Farm Market, Severn, Ontario

On the Rocks Farms is hosting a pet vendors event to raise funds for Lost Boys Hope Dog rescue, a foster-based rescue who’ll be attending the event with a kissing booth and dogs available for adoption. Many craft vendors. Dogs are permitted but not in the alpaca and farm animal area. Without your pup, you can visit with 7 alpacas, 2 mini horses and 5 mini calico sheep. Apparently, they love people and treats. 10 am to 3 pm. 2323 Burnside Line, Severn, Ontario. Free Admission.

June *, 2026 – Doggie Dash, Lakefield, Ontario

Doggie Dash is more than only a walk for Lakefield Animal Welfare, it’s a community pet event that includes music, vendors, inflatable axe throwing, giant Connect 4, and a dunk tank. Isabel Morris Park, 20 Concession Street, Lakefield, Ontario. Starts at noon. Walk is at 1 pm.Ends at 5 pm. Admission by donation/walk sponsorship. Team entries are permitted too.

June *, 2026 – Happy Trails Walk-a-thon for Guelph Humane Society, Guelph Ontario

The Happy Trails Walk-a-thon benefits the Guelph Humane Society and is sponsored by Wellington Laboratories. The walk is the main focus, but activities include the Speedy Woof Zone, sponsored by Speedy Auto Services Guelph and includes free breakfast and coffee, face painting, massage station, kids craft area, and dog-friendly fun. Register by May 23 to be eligible for prizes. Free with donation, 190 Hanlon Creek Blvd., Guelph, Ontario. 10 am to 1 pm. Rain or shine.

On Hold Until 2026 – Pet Palooza, Brantford, Ontario

Pet Palooza in a fundraising festival for the Brant County SPCA. Fun includes pet and food vendors, bouncy castles, dog lure course, woof jocks canine all-stars, and reptile show. Admission is $10. The Brantford Civic Centre, 79 Market Street South, Brantford. 10 am to 5 pm.

June *, 2026 – The Arbor Dog Races, Port Dover, Ontario

The Port Dover Harbour Museum is hosting The Arbor Dog Races, sponsored by The Arbor. The contests start at 11 am with a costume contest ($2 per dog), followed by a parade down the pier at 11:30, then the dachshund races at 12:15 ($5 per dog). All breeds are welcome. The All Breed race is at 1:15 pm ($5 per dog). All races are in a fenced area behind the museum. Register the day of the event. 11 am to 2 pm. Riverfront Park, 44 Harbour Street, Port Dover, Ontario.

June *, 2026 – Ottawa’s Fetch Local Market, Ottawa, Ontario

The Ottawa Fetch Local Market is back this year offering a variety of vendors – 35 in total – not all dog-related but all local. Dog nail trims are offered at the event and 30 percent of proceeds goes to support animals affected by wildfires. Shankman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Blvd., Ottawa. 10 am to 3 pm. Free admission.

June *, 2026 – The Muddy Paws Wine Trail, Niagara Region, Ontario

For those who remember the Muddy Paws events of the past, guess what? They just got bigger! This year three wineries join forces to create the best weekend canine wine event in the region. Visit Sue Ann Staff Winery, Westcott Vineyards, and Featherstone in June to experience dog-friendly activities, wine, and live music at each winery. Noon to 5 pm, throughout the Niagara Region, Ontario. For tickets visit Muddy Paws Wine Trail.

June 27 and 28, 2026 – Wienerfest Home County Festival, Burford, Ontario

All breeds and kinds of dogs are welcome at the Wienderfest Home County Festival but the star is dachshunds – wiener dog races, and events are promised. Many local vendors will be in attendance too. Proceeds go to local rescues and Dachshunds in Need. Well-mannered leashed dogs (no flexi-leashes) only please. Sat. 9:30 am to 4 pm and Sun. 9:30 am to 3 pm. Admission is free. Burford Fairgrounds, 6 Park Avenue, Burford, Ontario

June *, 2026 – Annual Ruff Mudder, Collingwood, Ontario

The Annual Ruff Mudder Canine Obstacle Adventure 5km obstacle course for you and your dog is on again. That’s right, you can run a 5k with your dog over 80+ obstacles through forest and field. It’s not a race but an experience. Pre-registration is required.  $60 per person for Mudder, 4 for $120 and a pack of 10 is $500. Par 6725 Hwy 26, Stayner, Ontario.

Canceled until 2026 – Wiener-Paw-Looza, Ottawa, Ontario

All dogs and dog people are welcome at Wiener-Paw-Looza event hosted by the Canadian Dachshund Rescue. Vendor stalls, delicious barbecue, wiener dog races, costume contests, games, silent auction and prizes. 11 am to 3 pm. Location: TBA, Ottawa, ON. Bring your dog. Free admission. No retractable leashes.

July *, 2026 – Critter Fest – Pet & Plant Expo, Mont Forest, Ontario

Not dog specific, but dog vendors will be at the Pet & Plant Expo, which promises Family-friendly fun, furry friends, lush greenery, local vendors, and giveaways. Mount Forest & District Sports Complex, 850 Princess Street, Mount Forest, Ontario. 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is $10. Note: Unfortunately, no pets are permitted at this event.

July *, 2026 – MuttBalls Dog Market, Toronto, Ontario

The MuttBalls Dog Market on July 5 (rain date: July 6), promises to be a pawsome event in support of Save Our Scruff Dog Rescue. Admission is free, but registration is required (here). A day of fun and dog vendors at the MuttBalls production facility, 60 Millwick Drive, Toronto. 10 am to 4 pm. Pet-friendly.

July *, 2026 – Pawradize at the Feastie, Toronto, Ontario

Organized by Doggie Fest Toronto, the Pawradize festival is part of the Feastie Sip and Snack Festival at Henderson Brewing Co. Pawradize is a tropical dog haven featuring photo ops, splash pad fun zone and snuffle enrichment. You’ll need a ticket to Feastie ($12). 1 to 9 pm. Henderson Brewing Co., 128A Sterling Road, Toronto, Ontario. Dog-friendly.

July 18 & 19, 2026 – PAWS-itively Elgin Pupper Festival, St. Thomas, Ontario

Pawsitively Elgin Pupper Festival is a dog-friendly event in support of local rescues sponsored by Pawsitively Elgin and Event Partner Elgin Feeds Country Store. Come out and enjoy Dock Dogs, Lure Course, Agility Details Dog Training, Aylmer Disc Dogs, the Flying Furballs and more. As usual, tons of vendors promised exhibitors including animal rescues, food, nonprofits plus our Kid Entrepreneurs. Pinaphore Park, 95 Elm Street, St. Thomas, Ontario. 10 am to 4 pm. $12 per carload or $5 per walk-in.  We’ve been there! Check it out.

July 25, 2026 – Meaford Pet Expo, Meaford, Ontario

Enjoy the annual Meaford Pet Expo with more than 25 vendors, samples and giveaways, pet adoptions, nail trims, pet play zone and training advice. Canadian Pet Connections, 278 Cook Street #8, Meaford, Ontario. 10 am to 3 pm. Dog-friendly.

July *, 2026 – 1000 Islands Bark Bash, Gananoque, Ontario

The annual 1000 Islands Bark Bash celebrates all things dogs. Meet rescue groups, vendors, dog demonstrations and displays. Admission free. 10 am to 3 pm. July *, 2026 – Christmas in July, Clear Creek, Ontario

Every dog lover will love the Hounds of Erie Winery – or already does love this dog-friendly site with a fenced dog area. Christmas in July is a fundraiser for animal rescues that includes photos with Santa ($15), food trucks, vendor market, and scent work trial ($6 per dog). A $30 package includes 1 photo, 1 Hounds of Erie logo glass, 2 food tastings, and one dog treat flight. 11 am to 5 pm. 377 7th Concession Rd., ENR, Clear Creek, Ontario.

July 25 and 26, 2026 – Pet Fest, Dorchester, Ontario

Dorchester Pet Fest is an annual pet festival (last weekend every July) celebrating all things pet now two days long! pets in carriers and dogs on-leash are permitted to attend. This festival features local vendors, food, rescues, demonstrations, free lure course, craft beer and spirits and a kids’ zone. Dorchester Fair Grounds, 4939 Hamilton Road, Dorchester, Ontario. 10 am to 5 pm. $10 per person ($5 kids under 16, free for those under 2).

June * and August , 2026 – Dock Diving Fun Days, Stayner, Ontario

Dock Diving Fun Days is a weekend event at Sega Family Farms featuring dock diving competitions. Saturday is the Jump X2 and lure competitions and Sunday is Jump and Grab. This event is designed for dogs with dock diving experience who want to warm up for other competitions. $20 per dog per event. It might also be a good way for spectators to learn about the sport. Sega Family Farms, 1454 Country Road 42, Stayner, Ontario. NOTE:  Sega Family Farms offers dog events such as agility workshops and others all summer.

August *, 2026 – Dog Days of Summer BBQ, St. Catharines, Ontario

Bring your pups to the Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery for the Dogs Days of Summer barbeque and wine. Catering by Short Hills Kitchen. Live music. Tickets include one glass of wine. 1 to 3 pm. Tickets $59.95 per person. Purchase in advance.

August *, 2026 – Dog Night Dream in High Park Theatre, Toronto, Ontario

Love Shakespeare? Love your dog? Now you can take your pup along – one night only – to see the Canadian Stage production of Romeo and Juliet in High Park on August 6. Note that patrons are responsible for their dog’s behaviour. Dogs must be leashed and not disrupt the performance. All seating is outdoors and on the ground, so your dog will be close to other dogs and people. 7 pm.

August *, 2026 – Wiener-Paw-Looza, Hamilton, Ontario

Hosted by the Canadian Dachshund Rescue Ontario, Wiener-Paw-Looza is a day celebrating all dog breeds. Vendors, silent auction, costume contest, tames barbecue and dog races. 11 am to 3 pm. National Sheep Dog Trials, Kingston, Ontario

August *, 2026 – Kingston Sheep Dog Trials Festival, Kingston, Ontario

Three days of sheepdog events, trials, and competitions herding sheep. The festival part is resuming in 2023 and will look like this again: other doggie attractions including Canadian Canine Lure Course, zoo-like animal encounters at “Zoo to You,” Rideau River Dock Dogs, agility, K-9 demos and crafts and vendors. $15 or $10 for tickets online. www.kingstonsheepdogtrials.com Grass Creek Park, 2993 Highway 2 East, Kingston. August *, 2026 – Hugs for Hounds, Cambridge, Ontario

Hugs for Hounds is a fundraiser for several Canadian Sighthound groups. Meet several types of sighthounds here, including Greyhounds, Whippets, and Saluki. Festivities include on-site vendors, BBQ, agility demos, and silent auction. Non-aggressive leashed dogs welcome. No retractable leashes. Preregistration is $5 for the event and $35 for the dinner.. Waterloo Regional Police Association and Recreation Centre, 23 Brock Road South, Puslinch, Ontario. 10 am to 5 pm.

August 15, 2026 – London Pawlooza, London, Ontario

Honouring International Homeless Animal Day and a fundraiser for a local animal shelter. Held annually at The Plunkett Estate, 9282 Elviage Drive, London, Ontario. Take your dog dock diving, go swimming in the Pawlooza pond, test your dog’s agility, run the lure course, go off-leash in the FunZone, play frisbee in our toss+catch zone, get trick advice, get obedience advice, watch agility demonstrations, visit our VIP lounge… shop from 175 vendors,  www.pawlooza.com. August *, 2026 – Dog Days of Summer Market Event, Erin, Ontario

Dog Days of Summer Market Event with RAW Performance Dog Food is being hosted by Erin Hill Acres – a dog-friendly agritourism farm we’ve previously visited. In addition to the regular farm activities (including oven-baked pizza), 30+ pet product vendors will be on-site. Dogs are free, but people need to prebook tickets. ($15 to $25). August *, 2026 – Doggie Fest Summer Carnival, Toronto, Ontario

Lots to do at the Doggie Fest Summer Carnival in Toronto – 30 vendors, photo ops, splash pad, agility trials, ball pit, mini train, and Steam Whistle dog-friendly patio, so you can have a brew with your best bud. August *, 2026 – Fun in the Sun Pool Event, Chatham, Ontario

Let your dog have an afternoon of fun at the Orville Wright Pool in Chatham. Sponsored by PetValu Chatham and North Kent Wind, the event is a fundraiser for CK Animal Rescue. $15 per dog. The third annual Pups & Pours is an afternoon at Dillion’s Distillery. A free event to hang out in on the distillery grounds among vendors, food trucks, and cocktails. Photographer available. A four-day event to end the summer, Bark in the Park is a fundraiser for Epilepsy Toronto in conjunction with Busker Fest. Bring your dog to this unique combo event that includes many pet product vendors, doggie play zones, splash zones, photo ops and performances by the Ultimutts. $10 admission/donation, pet-friendly, Woodbine Park, 1695 Queen Street E., Toronto, Ontario. From 4:30 to 6:30 pm, dogs can swim at the following pools: Goulding Community Rec Centre, Heron Park Community Centre, McGregor Park Community Centre, and Riverdale Park East. Only dogs in the pool, no people. One adult can bring up to two dogs. No registration required just show up and sign in; however, regular admittance ratios apply. Dogs must be vaccinated and those displaying aggressive behaviour will be asked to leave. Please donate freeze-dried dog treats or toys.

Barkfest promises to be the ultimate dog party offering Zoomie Zone, Ultimate Agility, vendors, contests and entertainment. Raising funds for local pet rescues. Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm. Red River Exhibition Park, 3977 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. Admission $22. Dogs welcome but limit of one dog per adult.

Pawfest hosted by Urban Tails brings together pet lovers, local businesses and rescues. Adoptable pets in attendance. Raffle and silent auction in support of several Manitoba pet rescues. Vendors, groomers, nail trims, lunch, product samples, and selfie stations. 11 am to 5 pm at Urban Tails, 4-1510 Plessis Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

June 21 and 22, 2025 – Saskatchewan Pet Expo, Saskatoon

More than 100 vendors this year, making this the largest Saskatchewan Pet Expo ever. Food, entertainment, and animals available for adoption. Free admission. 10 am to 4 pm. Martensville Athletic Pavillion, 200 Mike Sands Blvd., Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
