Doggie Fest Toronto Doggie Box Launch Event and More …

Take your dog along – if there’s one thing dogtrotting.net specializes in, it’s where and when you can take your dog with you. Few things are more fun than finding interesting places and new fury faces … and we just discovered Doggie Fest Toronto.

More specifically, we discovered the Doggie Box Launch Pawty, an extension of Doggie Fest Toronto.

Doggie Box is a new subscription box – I know there are many subscription boxes and even more have come and gone. But there’s a new one on the block, thanks to Doggie Fest Toronto, and the box is closely branded with the company.

Doggie Fest Toronto Events

Doggie Fest Toronto is an event organizing company, focused specifically on organizing dog-friendly pet-themed events. (Cats are welcome at events too, but I wouldn’t recommend it. It would be stressful for the cat, and dogs are unpredictable around felines). Past events include a Christmas Pawty, a Howl-O-Ween-themed event, and a summer carnival. There’s a distinct Asian nuance to events, especially the Pawsperous New Year event in February last year.

Doggie Fest events usually take place indoors often at cooperative workspaces around the Toronto, Ontario area. The Doggie Box Launch was held at The Network Brew in Concord (near Vaughn). Vendors promoting products and food are on site, along with those selling pet-themed handcrafted products. DIY workshops are on the list, and so is my dog’s favourite part: an off-leash room with a splash pool filled with floating balls. So many balls. (affiliate link)

Off-leash Splash Pool Fun

My crazy spaniel has essentially grown up in leash-free spaces, indoors and out. She attends doggie daycare regularly, both indoors and outside. Much like her experience at Dogtopia, an indoor dog daycare where she’s experienced both short visits and overnight stays, at the Doggie Box Launch Pawty my dog ran in circles nonstop and charmed event volunteers.

Only this time she got to jump in a pool of water chasing all the balls she could imagine in one place (except that time when she spent an hour in a ball pit at K9 Fun Zone in Caledonia).

And I didn’t leave the leash-free room. My pup likely wondered why I stayed with her this time.

Doggie Box Contents

So, what’s in a Doggie Box? Included with the price of admission at the Doggie Box Launch on April 21, 2024, was box number one – it contained two food-themed stuffed dog toys, one container of dog poop bags from Earth Rated (affiliate link), and two bags of freeze-dried dog treats (rabbit and chicken).

Sign up for a three-, six-, or 12-month subscription and the company promises your Doggie Box will contain four to five items valued at $65 or more. Plus, subscribers get free admission to all Doggie Fest Toronto Events along with access to the event VIP area.

Upcoming Events…

According to the Doggie Fest website, there are no upcoming events as of press time, but I’m interested in checking out more when they are scheduled … especially if there’s an off-leash fun zone for my crazy little Spaniel to demonstrate why she’s a doggie daycare favourite.

In the meantime, regularly check out the dogtrotting.net Events Page here. The minute we catch wind of another canine carnival like this one, we’ll list the doggie details there.

Next up on dogtrotting.net is one of my favourite dog-friendly outdoor art galleries we’ve visited yet. Stay tuned (or check it out here).
