Happy Holidays to everyone celebrating something. At my home, it’s all about the pets. My pup figured out easily which large box was hers on Christmas morning, and surprisingly, one cat got involved too.
This post contains links from affiliates such as Amazon and/or Chewy online pet supply store.
This year, by dog’s gift box was full of Canadian-made treats. And her Christmas dog dinner – a canine charcuterie board – all Canadian-made dog treats surrounding sliced turkey just for her. Of course, the turkey is what she ate first. Just like Max from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

Here’s a list of what appeared in both my dog’s gift box and adorned her very own holiday feast:
Puppy Love Products – We found these at Ren’s Pets. Puppy Love Products are made in Canada from government-inspected meat products containing no preservatives or additives. Dehydrated beef liver is my dog’s favourite.
Great Jacks – Produced in British Columbia, Great Jacks (affiliate link) is a Canadian company that offers different varieties of dog treats, but my dog likes the single-ingredient dehydrated medallions just the right one-bit size for her.
Crumps Naturals – Crumps Naturals (affiliate link) have been a staple in our house for a while, but my dog prefers the single ingredient air-dried meat treats – like chicken jerky – rather than the cookies, unless they are peanut butter flavoured.
The Butcher’s Champion – These were new to use, but these ‘real meat’ treats were popular with my dog. These Canadian real meat dog treats are naturally smoked and dry-cured. Although the company claims there’s no refrigeration required, I did anyway, just in case.
Tilted Barn – Products from this Alberta-based Canadian company has been in our pantry for years, but these all-natural meat sticks are my dog’s favourite. The version with small cut pieces, intended for training, are what goes into my dog’s puzzles.
