Much to my surprise, Peterborough, Ontario is dog-friendly. Why I’m surprised, I’m not sure. When you have the Trent-Severn Waterway and lock system running through your city, you have a lot of trails and walkways.

A stroll around the Peterborough Farmer’s Market outdoor area indicates this is a dog town, and the not-enclosed portion of this Saturday morning destination is very pet friendly, and not just for dogs.
