Whoot Whoot! Dogtrotting Shop Launch: Just in time for Puppy Love Season

Swag! Dogtrotting.net swag. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while and finally I found time to do it. (Wonder how). Drum roll, please! A shop has been added to dogtrotting.net with a special focus on dog-loving stuff to pack in a suitcase, backpack or RV. Whenever we can get out and about with our pooches again, we’ll be ready.

Ready to announce our dog love far and wide.

For a limited time, this exclusive ‘true love’ dog sweatshirt design is available on dogtrotting.net.

Love is in the air … we’re coming up on the season of hearts, romance and coupledom. But let’s be real: Sometimes (or usually) true love comes with a wagging tail, hence the ‘true love’ and dog image dancing across a cozy sweatshirt – otherwise known as pandemic daily ware.

This sweatshirt is a dark grey, but not black. As with everything in the dogtrotting.net shop, I’ve test driven the product. The fabric is soft and good quality. The sizing claims unisex but it’s closer to standard women’s sizing. At 5’8″ and usually a US size 10 or 12, the large comfortably fit me, which is the size I usually wear. (A size large male would not fit this size large). The neck is a little tight, but I prefer a non–baggy crew neck, and it’s narrower at the hips which means it doesn’t balloon like most sweatshirts.

Add tights or jeans and I’m ready for my behind-the-computer work-from-home new normal. However, now that I’m monitoring a four-month-old puppy around three cats, my work-from-home experience is anything but normal – or calm.

Please check out our shop (link here) or click the word ‘shop’ above and see what products we’re offering regularly. The ‘true love’ dog sweatshirt is a special seasonal item, so if you can visualize this as your Valentines Day evening attire, please order now.

Prices are in Canadian dollars (so American prices are aprox. 30% less). Shipping is taking several weeks (although Canadian orders do ship from Canada).

We will probably be spending time walking in forest trails or local park and finish in front of the fireplace to warm our bones. It is especially Maggie favorite place to chill.

    1. Sounds great. I would love a fireplace, especially this time of year.

Love the shirt! Weather permitting, we’ll spend part of the day in a nearby park. We do miles of walking in our neighborhood and nearby parks. I usually bake some heart shaped dog treats for my girl on Valentine’s Day too. We also do some photos of her wearing her heart headband — always a fun time because lots of cookies are involved. Sending ear scratches to the lovely Victoria!

    1. Thank you so much! Doggie cookies sound like a great idea.

We will probably spend Valentine’s day with our Zoey at a local park, walking the trails.

    1. That’s likely a popular activity!

On February 14th, me and Lucy will be showing the cabin to potential buyers. The cabin is where I lived when I first rescued Lucy more than 7 years ago. She loves the country, woodticks and burrs and all. When Lucy came to live at the cabin, she would chase the deer along the frozen river, squirrels up trees and snakes in the summer. She swam in the river and always managed to get more than a dozen woodticks. ugh. I have woodticks. Now, when we visit the cabin, she just loves to sleep by the woodstove, chase the cows and make new friends with all the new dogs in the area. During the pandemic, it’s been the only place we could go. And each time, she never wants to leave. Maybe this possible buyer will make an offer and valentines day will be the last day we are there.

    1. Sorry to hear you’re selling!

normally, the local pet stores where i shop have Valentine contests, however, not this year due to corvid. we won last year. I would make their Valentine’s costumes and I would dress up to match. So i guess this year we will be sheltering at home with the corvid getting worse and no vaccines in my area. I won a lot of candy, so i might contact one of my favorite stores and see if they want to do a raffle and let the money to go a rescue. hope all is well and stay safe. thank you

    1. No doubt it will be quiet for everyone. That’s generous of you with the candy – I’d likely eat it.
