Ok, this isn’t a real dog, and this place isn’t dog friendly.
But when I was there, this Lego dog sculpture was the most hugged and photographed at The Legoland® Discovery Centre in Vaughan, Ontario (inside the Vaughan Mills Outlet Mall) near Toronto.
This one’s for the kids, though the only Canadian Legoland has an adult-amusing elaborate interactive mini version of Toronto built entirely out of Legos, along with Niagara Falls with real water, the Toronto Zoo with pop-up bear and the Ontario Parliament Buildings with video fireworks.
Here’s what else:
- A fun simplified version of Lego manufacturing where you can find out your height and weight in Legos
- Four 12-minute 4D (3D plus temperature changes) films
- An amusement park-style flying on Merlin’s Ride
- And laser shooting on the Kingdom Quest train.
All are included in the price of admission ($22 at the door or $15 online). The Lego City Play Zone is for climbing, crawling and general energy release … kind of just like a dog park. But the kids have to share their toys.
