Go all in and add Las Vegas to the list of places promoted as ‘pet-friendly.’ (Well, for dogs anyway). According to TravelWeekly, an eNewsletter for travel industry members, more properties in Sin City are allowing dogs because so many people are travelling with canines in tow.
Usually ahead of the curve, Caesars Entertainment started its PetStay program in late 2010. According to TravelWeekly,
“Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, Paris Las Vegas, the Flamingo, Harrah’s, Bally’s, the Rio, the Linq, the Cromwell and Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace. Considered a room upgrade, up to two dogs of 50 pounds or less are permitted, and must be crated when alone in the room. The resorts provide pet owners amenities like food and water bowls, treats and waste bags, with crates available to rent and directions to nearby dog walks in welcome packets.”
Also on the list of doggie happy hotels are the Tropicana, Cosmopolitan and Vdara, a non-gaming boutique hotel that even offers a 24-hour outdoor pet park. Crates and petting sitting can be arranged.

I see dogs everywhere i go down here in Vegas. Supermarkets, casinos, gas stations. Definitely a dog friendly city.

That’s good to know. Thanks. I’m not sure my Tippy could handle all of the hubbub of Las Vegas though. Living in a rural area, she isn’t used to a lot of noise.
Yes, I was surprised to see Las Vegas hotels actively promoting themselves as dog-friendly because that’s not the first place I think to bring my dog along. However, when I was there I did run into a few along the strip – some being carried because the pavement in places is hot!
But I thought the news was interesting because it does speak to how much people are travelling with fur babies.
