This Little Doggie Meets Santa – Happy Holidays Pet Pics (with earthbath wipes)

Happy Holidays! I’m so relieved my aging little mutt Victor is here celebrating with me this year (and hopefully next year too). I schlepped him out to five – yes, five – ‘Pet Photos with Santa (and others)’ days benefiting various animal rescues I support all year.

Special thanks to earthbath for sending us eye, ear and teeth wipes (all different) to help spiffy up my dog for his special photos. #sponsored. Product reviews coming up, but first the resulting images….

5. This last one’s from PetSmart … final one. I promise. That’s what I told Victor, anyway.

However, in order to look dapper for his holiday photos, we’ve got some preening to do. A full bath needs advanced planning to be dry in time, so we resort to some quick but effective short cuts.

Two products very useful – especially as my pup ages – are earthbath Eye Wipes (affiliate link) and earthbath Ear Wipes (affiliate link).

His eyes leak frequently now and cleaning them regularly is part of our daily routine. Something damp and safe for near the eye ducts and free from chemicals was needed to break up that goop that collects near Victor’s eyes. As a black dog, tear stain isn’t an issue but apparently earthbath eye wipes work for that too.

My 15-year-old puppy’s ears were identified by neurological specialists at Ontario Veterinary College’s small animal clinic (details next) as needing attention too.

Earthbath eye wipes are …

  • Convenient in a plastic pop-up dispenser
  • Good for tear stain, dirt, secretions and discharge
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Free from fragrance and alcohol
  • Use only on animals more than six weeks old

Earthbath ear wipes are ….

  • Convenient in a plastic pop-up dispenser
  • Cleans dog ear discharge and ear wax that can be the source of odor
  • Contain witch hazel and plant extracts with deodorizing properties
  • Use only on animals more than six weeks old

Find earthbath ear wipes and earthbath eye wipes here. (affiliate links)

We’ve spent years accumulating holiday photos – most for pet rescues. Check out last year’s images. Here’s hoping for several years more.

  1. […] only healing balm for dogs out there, but it is one of my favourite having tried a number of its environmentally conscious products […]

  2. I’ve a lot of positive comments about Earth Bath products. I wish I’d worked with my cats when they were younger to go out and be comfortable in different surroundings and around people so we could go places together and do fun things like get photos with Santa.

    1. I haven’t been brave enough to take the cats yet. There’s usually a long wait … with a lot of dogs around.

  3. I love the old world style of Santa pic 1 and 2. Plush escaped photos with Santa this year for which he’s probably grateful lol.

Earthbath is great stuff. I have their hypoallergenic line for some of my grooming clients. I don’t use the cat shampoo though – it smells like cherries!

    1. I have many Father Christmas pics. The guy in the pic has several costumes and works with many rescue organizations every season doing just this.

i hope Victor is doing better, have you made any decision on his care plan. i am so glad you could enjoy the holidays with him and go to so many events. we did not go to any Christmas events, my little gals are Jewish. one year i decided to take my deceased gal, Evie to The Blessing of the Animals ad Duke Univ. to be blessed by a priest, my mother laughed at me and said Evie is a little Jew girl. I took her anyway. i go every year to several Blessing of the Animals, even taking Evie’s urn to be blessed as well. I hope he will be around for many years to come. i get sad every year my girls have a bday. have a great New Year!

    1. Thank you for remembering Victor’s condition. He has dementia and yes, I’m treating him the best modern medicine knows how. I’m not Catholic either, but Blessing of the Pets is on my list this year. Can’t hurt….

  5. When I look at Victor it is like looking at Layla 🙂 They could be twins. I love that you went to the different events to have photos with Santa, I try to do the same as they are such wonderful memories to look back at. I love the Earthbath products, they are awesome and their wipes fantastic. Happy Holidays

    1. I’ve thought that too when I saw pics of Layla.
